Damn it's pretty good. I don't know how she does it, but she doesn't pull an explosion-every-five-pages move but still keeps it engaging. Very much pop but with lots of political undertones.

(I kinda have a guess about what the prologue means, but we'll see.)

เป็นหนังสือที่เขียนดี แต่รู้สึกว่ามันป๊อปเกินไปหน่อย อาจจะเรียกว่าเป็นชะโงกทัวร์ค่านิยมครอบครัวจีน (แบบ quintessential) เอาไว้ให้ลูกจีนมาพูดว่า relatable อะไรแบบนั้น จินตนาการได้ว่าเอาไปทำเป็นซีรีส์ netflix anthology ได้

บางอันมันก็ดูตั้งใจสุดโต่งหรือตั้งใจช็อกเกินไปหน่อย อ่านถึงเรื่องแมวดำ (หว่องจัด) แต่ที่ชอบเป็นพิเศษคือบทพี่คนโต เราว่าเป็นมุมผลกระทบของปิตาฯ แบบจีนๆ ที่ไม่ค่อยมีใครเคยเล่า
