Always such an interesting cultural difference between UK and US cosy books. In the UK a "cosy little murder" would have drawn people like crazy, but in the US it scares people away and is bad for business. 😂

Oh, I have this really controversial idea here about what to tell her: How about the TRUTH? It's not rocket science! 😂

Why, oh why, do I always manage to find the heaviest, messiest, dreariest, darkest kind of "You all need therapy!!" kind of stories hiding behind these cute Christmas covers from the UK?? Are you all OK over there? 😅😆🙈

Sorry, but I can't stand this main character.

This level of lying and self-destructing is one I'm particularly fond of despising. The main character will have to save the bloody world and every kitten in it for me to warm up from absolute zero. 💩

I suspect the author was very, very annoyed by a particularly (stupid) part of Frozen and this "Elsa twist" is her way of rectifying that. 😂

I hope the narrator got paid extra for every "zero" he had to say.

This is the second audiobook I happen upon this year where the poor narrator has to read zeroes in a row out loud with a straight face. I must say, it makes for terrible listening material though.

All these zeroes really do fit my mood when it comes to this book.

She's 54!? Huh. Judging by character and everything I thought she was the kind of "professor" TV loves. And by that I mean a 24-year-old incapable of having enough experience for the title. 🤣

I can't tell you why I'm listening to this book. It doesn't work for me at all, but it's pleasant background noise.

The somewhat slow start has certainly received a kick in the proverbial arse now that Decima has started to curse her way through the book. 😆

If I had €1 for every time I've heard the phrase "Don't get old." in a book this year, I could probably afford a hardback. 😆

Here we go... Most anticipated book of the year for me. I'm a bundle of nerves going in, to be honest. A huge feeling of dread and hope, all mixed together. Alix hasn't failed me yet though. And then there's Moira Quirk too! Fingers so crossed they might snap! 🙈🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

OK, now I have met the MC and I'm still very "un"-everything. I think I might just try another book instead, to be honest. (Why is this almost always the case with hyper-hyped books??) 🙈
