I don't hate gender neutral pronouns, quite the opposite. However, I do hate the use of the word "they" as it makes my poor brain think in plural. (I have been imagining a dragon with multiple heads for several minutes now...) 🫪😮‍💨

Do I know I want to listen to this book in particular? Not really. But do I know I want to listen to Angus King? Yes. Very much yes.

I highly suspect I would hate reading this book, but the audio production is pretty neat. Not anywhere hooked on the story yet, but is a very nice kind of narration to listen to - and for the moment, that's entertainment enough for me.

Out of all the things I find rather unbelievable in this book, this really takes the price. She's supposed to be a SPY, ffs! How the heck is it such a big deal she had to fight some nasty bitch and then didn't even kill her??? They all act as if she's committed mass murder! What the heck is going on?! 🤣

Can we just take a moment to consider how a character is named "Lord MALICE"....? I mean... So far it's about as subtile as if Rowling had named Voldemort "Lord Evil".
I find it very "middle grade" and totally stupid for a book targeting an adult audience, translated from another language, or not... 🤣
