If this wasn't a ebook I'd be throwing it at a wall... not sure if I'll be able to make myself go back to finish, which is a shame since it was looking VERY good until here. Ugh!

Unsurprisingly, a short thrify work of smut... not sure if we'll be finishing this one.

Thoroughly enjoying this story. The twists and turns have been surprising and compelling. Our MMC is a bit too weak but clearly both have lived through traumas... and the dust is no where near ready to clear yet, even if we've seen remarkable revelations at this point. Zane and Natalia are the center of a seismic shift in their world.

On episode 27 of 93... still figuring out the Shadow Kings "home" and the competition for his bride

On episode 27 of 93... our little assassin is still thinking of escape while being drawn to the Shadow King... and she's coming to understand his "home" better every day... The Shadow King would choose her if he didn't fear for her life in doing so, and he's turning out to be a complicated but tender defender Shadow King. If our assassin could relinquish her fear for him, I think we'll get somewhere.

The writing is phenomenal, but I'm hating the story. Her stepfather and stepbrother are wicked and deserve to die [legally or otherwise] and her lover doesn't know the word 'no' any better than her stepdad or stepbrother.

Dion and Faye are married, and somewhat happily. Dion is still harboring his guilt and Faye is still hiding her fear of her father. And Eric is still the concern, after their first 3 years at met.

Wonderful tale so far... don't want to put it down either.

I want to keep reading this but need to finish others first... very frustrating.

hmmm.... curious thoughts so far... some good writing, and yet the story has issues

I wish less time had passed between reading the first book in the series [Call It What You Want] and this one... recalling the connected characters is tricky at this point.

And I'm finding myself too easily distracted into reading other stories, which surprises me.

Okay.. the writing is fantastic, but the story is really pushing the line...

Seriously one of the best books I've read this year... just under 400pgs, so it takes a while, but it's hit-the-fan time and I'm starting an ARC for a break

Loving the story so far... a gifted young woman, who has never felt safe anywhere [for all sorts of good reasons] is in a challenge to be picked as the Shadow King's bride... he'd pick her if she only wanted it, because he's already drawn to her above all others, but there are several others that may be more inclined and similarly able to take on the role necessary.

Oh, he's annoying all right...

It feels draggy, but we're setting the stage for everything to come together... and it's SOooo slow. But yeah, Night still hasn't figured out that Bryn is his mate... what is the world...

Finished book #5... so so good....

Raven has been captured, shortly after they arrive in Paragon. I'll need a calm state of mind to get to the last of this book. Big fan of Gabriel though... even his brother sounds interesting, which is probably the plan since his book is next.

Finished with Sharm and Edith's story, and beginning Storm and Charlie's now...

Dang this is captivating! Love Sage & Reignn... all the royal family... Sage's friends... sorry to lose the Goddess, and not sure what to think of the Elementals yet.

Gabriel and Raven have taken one another as mates... and Gabriel is fast losing all strength/power to function... he's called in a brother, and the plan is to get Raven into Paragon to find the book(s) of magic his mother used, so they can make Gabriel a NEW ring.

Ciara is engaging AJ's assistance trying to figure out what's going on with Preston... who is having hallucinations that are rejecting reality [ala no awareness of Ciara while in her presence AND believing that she is lost and in danger when she's fine and standing right next to him]. Cyrus is DEFINITELY behind all this, and DEFINITELY connected to Raze. We have a lot of story left.

So... all about the pagan hedonism... all about unshackling oneself from morality, being free to do ANYTHING that society [or the Christian faith] tells you that you should not. Beautifully written and still a pandering mess that seems to be designed to separate the reader from any morals that might be contemplating having.
