Not gonna lie it's kind of nice to understand Tallstar's upbringing. He definitely had a cynical outlook on life before became a wise leader of Windclan. Then again I would be pretty cynical too if I felt like my parents hated me along with some of my other clanmates.

Even when he was being encouraged by clanmates there were some discouraging him. So of course things felt disingenuous.

Y'all Celeste Ng is coming to my University. I've never read her work but I'm still somewhat excited. I get to attend a Q & A as a requirement of my composition class. Looks as though I should try to read some of her before she comes to the school.

It's not bad. I guess I'm just having trouble keeping up with some of the writing style for this story.

All the story seems to have is weird spurts of drama for its conflict, mean tweets that could totally be ignored since the tweets aren't even good at harassment or bullying.

And why do some scenes just randomly happen then jump into some other scene without some kind of transition.

So the insta-frienship has some development. But some conflicts in the story don't last long since some of the conflicts aren't strong enough to keep the story motivated for what Clementine wants to do.

And even with as ridiculous as this story is...I think it knows how to keep me drawn in.

it really picks up more at the start than book 1. Which I enjoy about it so far. I hope that this story will also entertain more than book 1.

I think honestly this is probably one of the slightly better novellas in this series so far. It still has some boring stuff, but it has a bit of entertaining details too.

This book isn't too bad. But the kindle format that Edelweiss provided makes the text look kind of small for the comic so it's hard to read through this book really quickly.

But I can tell the story has potential and an interesting enough plot that will probably develop itself more soon.

A little zany and random. Might lack a bit of focus but I bet with other volumes it will try to stay a bit more focused.

I think this really is better than Never Enough Time.

Because Annie is likable and not juvenile. She actually tries to have some understanding as to why she ended up in a parallel world whereas Delaney comes up with crazy explanations as to why she's on a path of sevens and thinks nothing of why her being on that path is her fault.

Also the development in this book is so much better than in NET.

Oof this story is so much like Never Enough Time, but I do believe I like the pacing a bit more.

And Annie is actually a slightly better main lead than Delaney.

There is some insta-friendships.

I mean it would take just a little more than the first encounter with someone to decide to be these really good friends.

But that's just me. I suppose maybe Clementine is more extrovert than I'll ever be.

But overall I think I'm reading it because the premise and to get over how much I disliked Never Enough Time.
Because once I finished Never Enough Time you would not believe the book slump I'm in because of it. Idk if the story's tone threw myself off or if it was that ending. But either way after finishing it I actually have hardly any desire to read some of my 30 or so Netgalley books.
So lets do YA Contemp.

So it's definitely one of those stories that follows the "What if" format.

I mean so far I'm liking it a bit more than Never Enough Time.

I just hope this story doesn't super depressing as it gradually goes on. Because that tends to be the mood with these stories once the character sees all the "what if" factors of their future, parallel life, etc.

I'm actually really enjoying this story. And it's nice to slowly take in some of the struggles of each character.
