Does it get any better? Page 85 and not grabbing my attention. Short sentences, reads like an elementary school book.

Going on my DNF shelf. Page 152.
I'm not invested in any of the characters. The main character flees her unfaithful husband intending to commit suicide when she ends up in a quaint seaside village and takes a job as a cook.
Too trite, boring.
