Wasn't loving this, but maybe I wasn't in the mood, so have paused for now.

This is so much better than the last one I read - excellently drawn characters. A writer who really knows about the complexities of life.

I had high hopes for this one as it had such great reviews, but it's not grabbing me at all. I'm hoping the last third might be better.

Hmm - I get that she's trying to create two distinctive voices, but the writing style is getting a bit annoying tbh. I'm struggling to find an emotional connection with either brother. Could easily give up, but I'll keep going for a bit longer.

I remember this book from when I was 14 and it made a huge impression on me then - I remember sobbing my heart out- so I've managed to get it with the same cover as I remember,
to see how I feel about it now.

Great writing. Really interesting story based on real life events.

I really loved The Lost Bookshop, so was really looking forward to Evie Woods' new novel, but it's just not doing it for me. I just don't like the story. Have nearly finished now, so I'll keep going, but this one isn't for me.

Not loving this book. It's so confusing. Too many characters and too much jumping around in time. Think it could have been good but with a bit more explanation of what's going on in the writer's head.
