Great to finally get to that turning point towards the Malazan Empire

Amazing to see the characters of the old guard (those that had still been around or ascended) in their early pre - Malazan Empire days!!!

Great book!! Love the alternate telling of history and how the two main characters evolve throughout.

Didn’t get beyond 15%, was too easily distracted by other books.

Mixing in these short stories with what I am currently reading. The first story really did have the Cthulhu mythos feel.

So far, fucking awesome final battle scenes and confrontations, so far. Chapters and chapters of battles....not to mention the extreme depravity preceding the battles. The Second Apocalypse series...awesome!!! Started doubting we would ever get to Golgotterath! Second trilogy of the series almost down... Great read!! Also includes two short series prequel stories and a huge series glossary. :)

Christopher Porter is finished with Neuropath
Really enjoyed the story and characters even though this is not the type of book I normally read. It is well thought out, but can be depressing when really trying to understand the Argument (as two of the main characters term their personal beliefs about people and the world). Although that depression is probably just a part of the lie we all live in with our understanding of our purpose in this world....
