So… I have no idea when I got this book or how… looks like I got it as a kindle promo? Maybe. It was 8 years ago so I have no clue. Anyhoo. If you are from Denver, of a certain age, of a certain social circle & it is nostalgic but man it’s a slog. Sorry dude. I’m struggling with the fictionalization of that era here and it’s representing of it. I think the story could have been tightened up a bit so far.

Lots happening now... lots before this point... I suppose the last 19% of the book may be the most satisfying? We will see. I started about a week after lockdown and decided that I have to finish it before that anniversary comes up... sigh. It's alot of pressure...

I promise I am going to finish this by day 365 of our quarantine

OMG y'all... this book is really terrific. Really great. From stories about the people places and things that make the Edible Beats restaurants what they are to the beautiful photography... this is a great add to my cookbook library. Thanks for the great book Chef. Looking forward to the next volume!

I have stalled on this... it's really "heady" and right now pre-election I can't ... continue. Taking a breath.

Note normally I love politics but right now... I just can't. I will come back to you dear book... but right now... taking a stop and break.

Ok so I was about to give up... glad I didn’t . Interwoven tales are starting to come together. Ms. Morgenstern does weave a lovely scene which has kept me going on this journey.
