Didn’t realize this wasn’t a standalone and I don’t want to read another book of this series. DNFing just because it’s not totally piquing my interest but it’s got a lottttt of spice. Mostly just spice. The FMC is annoying too.

I am gobbling this book up.

This is such an interesting plot I’m upset I waited so long to read it!

This one is my new fave out of all 4 books. Second to Rhys’ book. There’s something about a morally gray MMC who just has enough resources to take full care of you and track down someone trying to creep you out.

I. Love. Lucy. Score’s. Writing. Style. It’s perfection.

I’m enjoying this more than I enjoyed the Wrath/Emilia series. Feels more adult for sure and the story line is more interesting.

After just finishing Story of my Life, I’m interested to see if this series will top that book for me. Love this author’s writing style!

Listening to this series on audiobook and idk if it’s because I don’t love the narrator or I don’t love being in the FMC’s mind that I’m just not in love with the series. But I love the idea. Maybe reading it would give me better results!

Omg this is soooooooooo cute and silly. Just the right amount of quirky. Love the concept, the people of Story Lake are a silly bunch 😂

I mean, this is still very fun to read. The banter is still silly. But it’s getting dragged out a bit. The FMC schtik with being quirky is a liiiiittle overdone. The MMC and FMC also feel like they’re talking through each other. But I guess it’s adds to the drama, imma keep reading lol

Okay first, this cover is utterly deceiving. You know what I mean. It looks like it’s going to be an over the top cheeseball romance. You would be mistaken. The writing?????? The banter???? The depth??? I’m shook and I’m only 26% in. Just wow.

This is why I love dark academia. Loving this so far, a little slow to start but now it’s getting interesting. Also the narrators for the audible version are amazing.
