Not sure how I’m feeling about this so far. It’s basically Suicide Squad like everyone is saying with the same dumb humour as the film or like the MCU. Everyone’s cracking jokes and one-liners, there’s no stakes (so far) because everything is played for laughs, everyone is farting and shitting and talking about turds. It’s getting tedious. But I’ll continue a bit more and see if it gets better.

This book is so fucking good.

After my re-read of the original trilogy, I’m hyped to move on to something new.

Slow. But good. But slow.

This book is extremely long but Sanderson has a way of making it seem like it’s flowing by. Great so far

Been wanting to read this for years but I never usually like reading unfinished series. After reading Mistborn and Elantris this year though, I desperately need another Sanderson fix.

30 ish pages left. Climatic fighting abound, but it doesn’t feel like the end of a novel. There’s still so much left open. Can it pull it off? Guess I’ll find out tomorrow.

Finished part one. Still a lot to learn about this world but I love it so far. Reminds me of Malazan, but slightly more accessible. That isn’t to say it’s not layered though. It’s looking like another dense, intelligent fantasy series that doesn’t hold your hand. I hope it continues to be this good.

Best comic ever.

This book is so boring. This can’t be from the guy who wrote Annihilation; a fast paced, intelligent and thought-provoking novel. Nothing happens in this one. At all. I’m not arsed about answers to mysteries but we get nothing here at all whether answers or just new ideas. Nothing. Boring. Zzz.
