Damn this prose is gorgeous

I have to concentrate so hard to keep up!

I had to read several recaps of the last book before I felt ready to tackle this one. Fortunately the author himself has written a nice recap in the form of Vis admitting everything to the ghost of his dead friend as a way of processing his grief.

Heathcliff is much worse than I had anticipated. I knew he wasn't the brooding romantic hero the movies often portray, but damn he's properly evil!

For heaven's sake if someone you trust tells you a dude is bad news then LISTEN TO THEM. I feel like most of the suffering in this book could have been avoided if everyone took that advice. Also young Linton is a whiney pos and I'm kinda glad he's gonna be gone soon.

God imagine actually dying of a broken heart over such a detestable arsehole. What a drama queen. Can't belive this is only half way.

All the fuss about the movie reminded me that I need to read this. Took a while to get it from the library as everyone else had the same idea, but now I got it so its time to finally get this classic ticked off

I think I would have enjoyed this more 10 years ago. But I'm just not wanting to pick it up and have been working on it for so long that I think it's time to give up. DNF

Damn making me feel sorry for Mr Collins is quite a feat

First impression is that this is a mix of Malice, Eye of the world, and Eragon, which I'm not mad about as I loved all three of those books.

Nope nope nope not for me. Dnf. I have a feeling I'm escaping before the worst of it.

I think I'm gonna hate this but I'm running out of audiobooks to borrow from my library so let's give it a shot
