Have to call it a day - for now. The technicalities grow to the point of being impenetrable to a lay reader. Regardless, the authors have provided a clear argument that life, understood as self-sustaining metabolisms, arose inevitably from geochemitry inextricably linked to plantery actions, and are all interdependent. As expected, the overarching limitation is thermodyanamics. We are definitely here for a reason.
