it’s so weird to read her essays and recognize the student in her. in my head she’s always been much closer to my age (I think because her character in Swing Time was so young and I knew it was semi auto-biographical I just assumed) but then I read her essay on Phillip Roth, knowing him as a reader in his old age before he passed, and realize like oh. ok. you’ve like lived many lives.

it’s INSANE how 1:1 the scenes from the book are to the show. like this could legit just be the script with some minor tweaks in like location and finer details.

actually losing my goddamn mind.

holy shit maysilee donner THE WOMAN THAT U ARE!!!

THANK U NORA!!!

i am LIVING for the lore rn i finally feel like im understanding what’s happening

the story is really storying rn. but i am so frustrated with xaden’s arc like i need a cure and i need it now

you ever just get violently reminded that this is a military fic? cause damn why are we pulling rank rn

if i were a side character i’d be so annoyed with the violet show. like bros got all the men fighting over her all. the time. like you sign up to go to war school only to find yourself in the middle of new moon somehow? and i guess everyone is just hot and horny at war school except you wouldn’t think they’d make it everyone else’s problem. but then they do!

he picked up her quill. with the SHADOWS!! this is so fun omg i feel like im live tweeting

why is violet ok with dain talking down to her?? like genuinely he’s told her no less than 3 times in the last 10 pages that she’s gonna d*e trying to be a rider. and she’s just smiling and twirling her hair?? babes he doesn’t RESPECT you what are we DOING

i forgot how much of a little BITCH dain is !

certified anne rice hater. but i keep seeing the lestat thirst traps and the telenovela monologue and i desperately need context

is this man grooming them????

i’m trying i really am but this reads like the cringe poetry u write in high school and then try to forget u wrote it
