This author is insufferable

30 pages in and he's climbing in her bedroom window. After she cried over him because he said she couldn't dance. After two sparse conversations and a couple "staring longingly" sessions. Nah, homegirl. That ain't how it works.

Sweetie, crying over the boy after two (barely) conversations with is not okay. I smell an insta-love.

Okay... What? No. Fitzpatrick did NOT just use the word "vroomed".

HOLY JEEEZUS. The romance is insanely awesome. And the horror in this book is spectacular. GAH! :)

Hodkin is an amazing horror and thriller author.

I'm reading this because of a school assignment, so I may be raging in these updates.
Hemingway glosses over whole years of Cohn's life in a single sentence, and he does it repeatedly. Not that that's a bad thing, it just makes for an awkward, stumbling reading experience. I'm gonna keep an open mind, though.
We'll see how this one turns out.

Angst much? The author really should've told me more about the characters. I don't even know what most of them look like. It makes it hard for me to care about them.

It's their first date and she's wearing a Swatch and a black mini skirt. I'm facepalming so hard right now.

Jesus. Under forty pages in, they're holding hands. Because they got the approval of an astrologer. And she's already talking about loving him. She's seen him only four times in her whole life. IT MUST BE TRUE LURV. At this rate they'll be frigging married at the end of the book. (also, I get that this is supposed to be a modernization of R&J but it should at least seem remotely realistic.)

What in the actual holy hell... This main character is the rudest and most self absorbed main character I've ever read about. And if I see one! More! Exclamation! Mark! I'm gonna lose it. Also, this author apparently hates commas because he's missing about ten of them.

Yup. I'm gonna like this book.
