Hard to get in to.

This book is just getting better and better. The father in this book is so amazing and I hope by the end they go into his life the same way the author has gone into all the other lives of the other characters. This book is just so good at discussing beauty, sisterhood, navigating life through a place of hurt, love, trust, friendship, everything you could think of. I am really enjoying this book

After reading the reviews, I was very scared. This book would be very bad, but this book is so good so far. The beginning of the book was very interesting. It really hooked me in when the main character is talking about wanting a big bum and navigating that within an African household. And then the story just progresses so much further from that simple notion of wanting a big bum. So good. Can’t wait to finish.

If you’re looking for a book where you can easily hate the main character, look no further lmao.

Trying to finish the book for finishing sake not because I actually am invested in it. It’s a collection of short and shorter stories so there’s nothing bringing me back to the book.
