I swear. If the narrator interrupts the storyline one more time with something like “my editor says I should skip this” or “I’m mentioning this tidbit but am not going to tell you about it.”, I’m going to punch this book in the face.

I bought this book thinking it was a novel. Turns out it’s 3 stories about one character. Admittedly disappointed. The first story was predictable and the equivalent of looking at an artist’s sketchbook. It was clearly not formed and shouldn’t have been published. I’ve read a number of Sanderson’s books and decided to cut him some slack. I continued on to the second story which was much better and more interesting.

I initially started reading this book forever ago. I didn’t get far and I’m not sure why. I picked it up again, but with the “author preferred text”. Not sure how it was different but loved it! Could be I was in the right mood.

F-it. This is my third time trying to read this @$!# book. I gave it a good try. At least I'm further than the other times?? I don't know where this book is going and, oh man, I really, really don't care!!! It reminds me of being in engineering school again and sitting in some boring professor's lecture as he vomits forth his brilliance -- and wishing I was anywhere else.
