I'm about half way into the large print book. This is my 2nd time through with 5 years inbetween. A murder just occured.

Very good so far. Not enough information to help solve the murder yet.

So far it has totally captured my attention & can hardly put the book down.

Murder right off the bat. Love it so far.

Amazing story of courage. Look up online the Forlorn Hope Expedition which was a recreation of the trek across the Pass from Donner Lake to Johnson Ranch by 4 extreme outdoors runners/hikers in January 2020. They carried photos of those who were in the original party.The timeline of their travels & of the original party is there to read.

Amazing story about those that traveled west. I did not know about Hastings & his trail west that was in such error.

Slow. Lacking punch. Not going to finish. Not polished like News of the World.

The storm is building & it's gonna break loose real soon. More murder & mayhem. Up to Monday... green/red day.

I love the storyline as told by Mei Ling. 5 stars so far.

It's an amazing story that reads true from the historical aspect. I know The City & the places Mei Ling ventured during the hours outside their tiny home.

I love the storyline. It reminds me of the relationship in the book. Widow of the South.

Very interesting. I never knew Mary Todd Lincoln was mentally ill. Excellent research by the author.

I'm enjoying it. I just wish it was in large print.

Amazing life of Marie. On our roadtrip to the Pacific NW this summer, I want to visit her grave & see the area she lived with her 3rd husband, Jean Toupin. I also wondered what illness she suffered from late in her life as it doesn't say as yet.
