Painstakingly detailed account of a monks procession leading up to the restoration of a Buddha statue. The complete lack of periods is mind boggling, especially since it reads so smoothly regardless. Its a winding stream of words and sentences, thoroughly corporeal, flowing and ebbing lusciously, so that it gives off a sense of embeddedness.

Totally random read. Flipped to it by accident in a book called World Literature. Miller mentions Ibsen a few times in his interviews, so I thought I might as well. I like how he said; "What's needed is a revolution of the spirit of man". So far its fairly petty, trivial dialogue, but seemingly calculating for something better.
