if any of these events happened to me… i’d never get over it

i really hope this second half of the book is just as good because i am disappointed that i'm likely going to have to read about what happened after the New York fiasco in fragmented segments.

i feel like there is something here but it also feels empty

and i started santiago's chapter thinking 'why do i need to read santiago's chapter' and i ended santiago's chapter thinking 'wow i needed santiago's chapter'

really teetering on the love/hate line right now and i fear i won't know which side i'll land on to til the end

ik this book is abt cleo and frank but where is quentin? why did we get that one quentin pov chapter and now it's been like 100 pages since i got that

and what if i said i think this is a beautiful love story? then what? sue me. (feelings subject to change don't hold me to this opinion quite yet, i mean i get that they are 'bad' for each other, but also would cleo and frank lead any better, happier lives without each other? something unforgiveable will inevitably happen for sure and no matter what it will be franks fault)

thank god i'm reading this now and not 10 years ago. the enabling would've gone crazy

getting recommended books by friends "you're going to love this!" and then i start it and it's the most devastating book ever. and yeah, you're right. i am going to love this

like all Camus books, i relate and despise this character deeply

i think i've figured out the heart of why i'm not enjoying this: there is this whole plan to 'save Artemis' but Weir has not given me a reason why Artemis should be saved... like the place sounds horrible! the only appeal of living there is because it's on the moon! so i really just... don't care about it!

i kinda feel bad for how much i am not enjoying this book. so sorry to Andy Weir... I enjoyed Project Hail Mary so much but I'm unfortunately begging for this book to reach it's conclusion
