Part 4 should've been a quarter of the length and part 5 should've gained all those pages. almost finished

definitely spent way too long in the castle just to build up the whole kidnapping of the family/royal/thing. the second half of this book is severely lacking for me, but i am hoping that this last part revives something

definitely feel i have spent too much time at this castle, and it was way too long for the grimmerie to take place. like i said, this is a book of uncooked themes and ideas. it's still good and very engaging, but slightly disappointing

idk why people complain about the writing in this book, there is some bangers in here. But yeah, Gregory definitely lost some steam with the last half

I'm beginning to understand some of the bad reviews of this book. Ideas and themes feel... under cooked. Although I disagree that the writing of this book is boring or slow. I feel captured by this story, and I think that the writing is fantastic. I just think that this book definitely could've spent a little longer in the oven.

literally everyone told me that this book was so weird compared to the musical. they were absolutely right. i love it though. the layers of theme are so good.

Something eerie about this story, 15 years prior from the events of In Cold Blood, but for some reason seem entangled in a kind of way? maybe im reaching but Diamond Guitar was very good. I wonder if Capote thought about his characters when he met Dick and Perry.
