oh, isadora. i am you and bennett and adrian all in one.

while i don't agree with Isadora's actions (do i, though?) there was something incredibly cathartic about chapter 10. in a way, she is living the dream.

"If I could tell good from evil, maybe I could choose, but I was more baffled now than I'd ever been."

this book has me laughing my ass off on one page, to swallowing a deep rooted frog in my throat the next page.

it's never over

it's like a more humorous bell jar. melancholic but not too depressing. interesting and relatable in ways that make me feel less lonely. i feel if this book goes correctly, it may become one of the all time favorites.

and don't worry, i am still reading dracula. i'm not really enjoying it (i think the epistolary style of it isn't for me) but i must finish it so i can feel validated in that.

actually started reading like a week ago and then i got bored and put it down but i picked it up again and it's slightly interesting? idk might put it down and read something else or might power through.

i don't know why i picked this book up, but for some reason it felt like an important book for me to read.

just about done with this one... this story is heartbreaking, especially considering that these guys killed this family for no real apparent reason. it is definitely an insight on american violence through an empathetic lens.

perry & dick kinda remind me of lennie & george from of mice and men but… so so much worse

this book has got me transfixed. i'm fighting the urge to simply look up what had happened. i have a long drive tomorrow (as the passenger) i'm hoping to get a lot of this book read during it.

despite picking up this book because i heard it described as 'og true crime,' i had no idea that this book was nonfiction (lowkey dumb bitch moment). haven't read a nonfiction book in a LONG time, and i surely not delved into true crime ever before, so this is new for me. so far though, i am very intrigued with the way it is written. it definitely has captured my attention - hoping that it continues that way.

I feel the tension building and i am eating it up... excited to see what all of this comes down to, both constance and charles are... suspicious

challenge to only read spooky books this month, hoping that this book is a little more horror forward than the haunting of hill house - which i felt did not have enough haunting in it

I have reason to believe that my girl vesta is losing it a little bit. is anything i'm reading real? did vesta write the note herself? i'm gonna be a bit disappointed if that is the case. i want the note to be the only real thing abt this whole situation, and i am hoping that there will actually be resolve to the Magda situation... however, with Ottessa's book history, i fear that there wont be a resolution of magda.

unfortunately, i'm feeling some similarities to eileen here, but without the at least weird vibes eileen gave. just concerned that this book is gonna be a whole lot of nothing happening...
