I am such a sucker for a redemption arc, that I jumped straight to this book. I find myself not wanting to read the rest of the series after Gwen and Hamilton’s book and I am glad I made the right decision. Heston has been knocked down and is literally at the bottom and I am enjoying his downfall. This downfall has made reading this book so much better!

I am loving Gwen, such a beautifully written character, she stands up for herself and doesn’t shut off her brain just because she’s attracted to him. Calls him out on his bullshit and we love to see it!

The more I read about house Targaryen, the less shit I give about them. I really don’t care about any of these characters. If Grrm doesn’t give me Winds of Winter I might just show up at the old man’s house in New Mexico and force him to finish that book. This book is literally the most annoying shit ever, I want the Starks. I want to read about Jon, Sansa, Arya and Bran. Like I am begging George at this point!

Wow, just wow. This book has truly blown me away. I honestly was not prepared to enjoy as much as I am. The heart break and angst is just right. Balanced with banter.

Amazing so far

I am literally loving this book so far, but I am so scared because things are finally going good between Bram and Aspen and I know some shit is about to go down

I can’t believe Drew was a hero in the previous book. Honestly, June should punch her loser ass husband instead of going after Loerlei. The scene where Lore cuts her hair had me almost cry. Fuck Noah too, he’s the second villain in Lore’s story. My girl deserves so much better!

I really hate how little time this book gives to Melantha and Rharret, they were the main attraction for me and I am not gonna finish this honestly. I was looking to read a book where MFC was hated/had a redemption story, this book was recommended and I started reading it for that purpose only. Sorry but Essie and her guy are not interesting to me.

Why is Josh being such an idiot! It’s not a betrayal or some shit, she literally came out and told him everything. Why was this the main conflict between them. I am truly hating him right now.

So the item she has to retrieve aka steal is Josh’s possession…. Ugh idk why but this twist is making me not feel good at all. Idk, is this going to be the big conflict between them?? Suddenly I am kinda scared of reading a head 😭
Especially because Jules still has not told Josh about the tape and threats 😩

I love and adore Jules! This is truly enemies to lovers, in the best sense. I couldn’t care less about Anna or Alex or Bridget/Blair (whatever her name is). Jules and Josh’s long history of being in each others lives but not getting along really sells the enemies part to me. I love that they’re not just “enemies” for no reason. Jules has a very real reason for not liking Josh. Their chemistry is off the charts!

Strangely enough I relate to Lan, so much. It’s insane because this is set in a dystopian world and yet, the way she feels about humanity & suffering is so relatable and admirable. We want to end world hunger and poverty and we know billionaires can stop this cycle of misery but refuse to. If there was a god of Capitalism, the way Asrael is the god of Dead in this book, I’d do everything Lan is doing!

Ngl as someone who doesn’t understand American football or sports rivalries, this is well written enough to keep my attention. That being said this book would have been so much angstier if they were both together to destroy the other and just fell in love randomly.

I am literally obsessed with Misha and Ryen. Wow this book is spicy 🤌🏼

I absolutely adore misha/mason, just wish Ryen would could find out about his identity sooner rather than later.

I am in love with Misha/Mason!!! Wanna see more character development for Ryen, also I wish she finds out Misha’s true identity already.

I am actually enjoying this book so far. The FMC is very intriguing to me, a mean girl and quite frankly a bully. I am so interested in seeing her character growth, honestly I have really high hopes from this one. The male character, Misha / Mason is nice too. I want to read more from this POV, I haven’t made my mind about him yet but I am starting to warm up to the story in general!

The author was absolutely right, I can’t stand the MMC. He is a terrible dude and I know for a fact that at some point in the book, author will have to make us like him by introducing other more terrible male characters. That’s the only way this carter dude will feel easy to read. I do adore the FMC and feel very protective of her, she is really smart and idk I wish she did not end up with Carter unless he grovels!

Not enjoying it, their fake romance in front of the new employees feels so corny and extra
