What took me so long to read this book! Loved it.

As a coulrophobic from way back, I picked up this novel with no idea what I was getting into. This is a great story about a grandfather's death bed premonition of 5 bad days in his grandson's life. It's well written and the twists interwoven into this young baker's life keep you on the edge of your seat. Let me just say, that when your life is haunted by a homicidal clown, your life turns into a chaotic circus!

I am being swept away into this grand adventure of the western plains! Love everything about it so far! The descriptive character writing about the women involved in this journey is wonderful.

This book is freaking me out...

An engrossing murder mystery. The characters are fascinating, from the main protagonist to the secondary characters of the sheriff and Lena, his deputy. There are very explicit violent sexual scenes, which a seasoned homicide cop will find familiar, but a layperson may find uncomfortable. I am starting this series a decade behind it's writing, but it is timeless as far as a good old fashioned homicide case goes.

I can't put it down....
