Yelda Basar Moers is on page 150 of 320 of You Could Make This Place Beautiful
I'm really enjoying this memoir of a break up of a marriage and divorce, though this is a sad tale of course. It's startlingly REAL. Like, this is my life as a mom and writer and author. I've learned to just embrace my motherly womanly sphere and roles. It probably comes from my Turkish background. Maggie Smith is a renowned poet and she writes this memoir so well!

A fascinating and original novel about the tarot both well written and well researched! As someone who has done the tarot now for 30 years as a hobby I’m impressed.

This is going very slowly for me. I usually love classics. If anyone has read this, please let me know that it’s worth reading the 1,000 plus pages!😂I’m plugging along for now!

Yelda Basar Moers is on page 157 of 312 of The Stationery Shop
This book has given me a great respite from the corona virus craziness here in New York City where I live. To deal with the anxiety and stress of being here at bedtime I'm turning to novels where I can lose myself in the story. I wonder what books my friends are turning to! It's a well-crafted historical novel, strong on time and place but I wish I could feel and see the heroine more! Still, a worthy read.

I just started this biography, but I'm so excited! This book also just won the Pulitzer Prize. I have a copy of the hardcover but also reading via audio. And any of you thinking of audio, I love the voice of the reader; he's amazing. This is not always the case with audio!
I can't think of anyone more inspiring in history than Frederick Douglass!
