I almost stopped reading this one, there was such sadness and despair throughout the book. I found the last chapter very thought provoking, the reality of accepting love from others when we feel broken, unworthy and unwanted. The idea of change occurring with small efforts, knowing that mistakes abs failures will inevitably occur also resonated.

I enjoyed this one, very much a beach read and silly story line but I appreciated that it was clean start to finish!

One of my favorite books in the last few years. This one left me contemplating so many aspects of myself and appreciating the beauty of friendship, differences and challenges that life brings. Beautiful writing and the characters were real and flawed in all the best ways. Love this one!!

I did it! This book has been on my booklist for over 20 years. David McCullough has done it again, I feel like I know John and Abigail Adams. My appreciation for the founding fathers grew as I learned more about this sacrifices, extensive travels and courage. Adams was fearless, loyal and committed to his principals and integrity.

I think I enjoyed this…still waiting and thinking. The book was a delight to listen to but I’m not sure I liked the storyline twists. It was a beautiful idea to create the story through letters between a museum director and married woman who longs to visit an exhibit at his library.
