Not a bad read, but I can’t get over one thing. She was six years old when she was taken and is 24 years old now. That young and that long underground just does not equal the behavior/knowledge/character she has now.

Talk about accurate marketing. The book is the blurb and literally nothing else has happened.

I’m just amazed at how our FMC killed ten people at the end of the last book, and it’s just never been mentioned again.

She called eyes ‘orbs’ and that’s really the last indicator I needed to say this won’t be any good, at least writing wise.

I am… not feeling this.

I started reading this book after rereading Kemmerer’s Elementals series. The book kind of feels surface level. I loved Elementals because she could reach into your chest and crush your heart with the character’s emotional pain. This new series feels like she just went “okay, let’s capitalize on that” and wrote a book on grief. It doesn’t work that way.

The main character is a sociopath. I’m going to try to keep going but I don’t know how I got even this far.

I never really was interested in reading Karen Marie Moning’s other series until I study abroad in Edinburgh and Dublin. I absolutely loved Scotland, and in addition to wanting to make it my second home, I want to read as many books as I can set in that location.

I've pretty much given up on finishing this book. I have to return it tomorrow, and even if I did read it, I would be so incredibly bored.

I have tonight to finish this book. Let's make it happen, people.

Just started reading this tonight! I've seen the first season of the tv show, and so far I haven't been able to get the show out of my head.

I am planning a road trip around the United States for this summer! If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

This is going to be my last book of 2017, and, unfortunately, it is terrible.

Hoping to read this tonight, might fall asleep before I finish it though!
