This is a great start to a fantasy series. It has held me attention through the introduction of characters, setting, locations. Looking forward to finding out what the mysterious things happening are all about.

I made an error. Ops Files is actually a prequel to Jet. I mistyped that phrase.

After reading Russell Blake's Jet: Ops Files, I was pleased to receive a special delivery from Mr. Blake of the book as one of his e-newsletter followers. This story is a bit of a prequel to the Ops Files book that was excellent in itself. So looking forward to seeing just how Jet became the butt-kicking Mossad agent she did.

Reading an ARC copy. I love VanDyke's work, so very excited to read this in advance of its release.

Strange...I am not sure yet if I enjoy the way there is a narrator that breaks into the story or the way the characters are then viewed. Definitely explicit. Will have to see what awaits.

C.L. is finished with The Lament of Sky
This book is an intricate and detailed look at a fantasy world filled with unique characters, a well-formed plot line and intriguing worlds. Well written with a vocabulary so descriptive it elicits a true response while reading. While I found myself initially confused by immediate events and the nature of the main characters, I was quickly drawn into the story and anxious to see the plot unfold.

C.L. is finished with Becoming Human (Exilon 5 #1)
I had a difficult time getting through this story. I think there is definitely a niche market for dystopian stories, but perhaps I have just read so many that it leaves me feeling a bit down thinking "could life really ever be like this?!". I applaud the author's hard work and a well-told story. It just left me a bit empty.

So far C.G. Cooper has stayed true to his Corps Justice series. Can't wait to really get into the guts of the story

Interesting western feel with older protagonist male Sherrif many will see as set in his ways but is past his prime. Love lost, family feuding. Gritty and reminds me of a modern Louis L'amore with a modern flair. Crime and investigation.

C.L. is reading Ops Files (Jet, #0.5)
Excellent action novel that should be read before any of the JET series. Interesting premise about an Israeli woman who joins Massad as an agent battling international terrorists. I'd let a teenager read it. Violence implied but PG 13 and nice storyline makes this a quick read and completely enjoyable.

So far, this book holds true to the series. I find it a bit confusing if you did not read all of the books prior to this one, but Rice has a knack for storytelling.
