So confused…what the hell am I reading?

I just found out today about the author’s passing and I am really sad. I’m re-reading this series in honor of her genius. Rest in peace!

So the Choice Awards 2020 nominees are up and this year I managed a new record: just one book I read is on the lists. Fingers crossed and maybe next year I manage a well rounded zero 😅.

And now they are like the Kennedys on a campaign trail.

This is the approach when the enemy previously levelled its own building with staff and guards inside just to kill one person inside... So Santiago, chances are there will be no in to fight your way to...First 2 books were amazing. This is just lazy.

The Jane Eyre comments! Oh, God! This book is so damn funny!!!!

I loooove Tom’s interpretation of classic literary works. I laugh hysterically like a crazy woman in the middle of the night.

The heroine is getting denser by the page. I do not see this ending well for me.

Going on memory lane with this one. I was ten and in the habit of borrowing top shelf books from the mom’s BF. I distinctly remember how confused I was as to what would a woman do on her knees in front of a man and what the hell was “his tenderness”. 😅

I couldn’t remember why I abandoned this series considering that I loved the first book. Now I remember. The opening chapter was like a slap in the face. A cheap plot device made to elicit a few gasps. It’s so completely unlike Griffin to behave in a chaotic, cruel and drama queen like manner that it made me feel my intelligence was insulted. This time I’ve decided to move past this episode and give it a shot.

I hate it when characters suffer a transplant of personality just because they majored from being a secondary character to being the hero. Why must all heroes in romance be brooding and inscrutable?!

This is sooo good! 😍

My last five reads were all disappointments. This is some kind of new record for me, 5 consecutive flops. Yay me and my selection skills...

So so much inner effin monologue. Such incredible (as in not believable) premise...Hanging on here by a thread.

Fingers crossed this is in the “Wall of Winnipeg” pile and not in the “Luna” one 🤞

God, this book is so effin loooong

Slave girl works with muck and horse shit in the stables. But she smells like sweet hay and lilac and berries. And while being a working slave she can read and speak eloquently. 😂🙈
