Good grief! I seriously stink at keeping my GR "Read" books log updated.

Good grief! I've really been stinky at keeping my GR books read log up to date. 🫠

Just finished a two-month read of the “Surviving The Evacuation” series by Frank Tayell. So naturally I jump into a ~900 page book.

Mehhh... I dunno. Halfway into it and I'm stills waiting for it to *begin*,

Frustration is:
attempting a test import of a .csv file with ONLY 2 books on it to your GR account, so you can FINALLY add the 45+ books you read and tracked in 2022, but didn't keep up in GR.

Been super busy with work-stuff and haven't updated in ages. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Bo-oh-boy am I struggling with this wee little book. It just doesn't seem to keep me engaged.

It's perfectly enjoyable whilst reading, but I don't feel the need / urge to go back if I've put it down for whatever reason.

Oh Fergus Ferguson, how I've missed thee!

Holy mackerel!! I'm in the final stretch of the "final" book of the Commonwealth / Void / Fallers heptalogy.

Truth be told, at certain times in this 7 book / 2+ month journey, I kept going because:
a) I'm a "completionist"
b) I've been known to be incredibly stubborn

"Night Without Stars" has (thus far) proven to be a very worthy reward for my persistence.

This book is by turns riveting, mind-blowing, and bloody boring. 😐

Thankfully the long-a$$ stretches of unnecessarily detailed and intricate descriptions are less frequent thank in Pandora's Star. Thank the Dreaming Heavens!*

Peter F. Hamilton is seriously messing up my meeting my 2021 Reading Challenge goal... 🤣😭

So far (chapter 6) I'm finding that Judas Unchained is moving along a little more quickly than Pandora's Star 🎉. Not as many sections of incredibly detailed and loooong (but rather unnecessary) descriptions. Thank the heavens. 🙌🏻

Ahhh, Jeremy Robinson. My *only slightly* guilty pleasure.

Reading Jeremy Robinson is like a sorbet palate cleanser in-between rich courses - refreshing and helps me move on. His books are engaging and entertaining in such a way that they remove any lingering "flavors" from my previous book, and help me enjoy my next book with a fresh perspective, and without pining (too much!) for the book I just finished.

What even is this I'm reading?!? 😲🤯😍

OK, bloody hell. Officially have tears in my eyes at the end of chapter 29. Wow. Totally did not expect that to happen.

Really enjoying this thus far. I've been reading the e-book and also listening to the audiobook. For some reason the voices / accents the narrator uses for some of the book's characters reminds me of characters / actors from "The Expanse", in a good way.

Dear sweet baby jeebus Chuck Wendig, this book is creepy, spooky, suspenseful, and bloody well invaded my dreams last night! 😳😱😆

I'm not an ardent reader of Stephen King (although I've read "The Stand" more than once!). However, my husband is, and I do trust his recommendations (at least in books! 😜)

So far, enjoying the book.

Book 3 of the series and Alex White continues to defy (exceed) my expectations. The action, (add'l) intricate world-building, story-spinning, & characters whose backstory we get withal glimpses into.

How is this even possible?? Y'know, don't tell me. I'm just going to continue enjoying this darn mix of SciFi, Magic, Space Opera, relationships (friends / colleagues / loved ones), and stardust. Yuuup, I'm dazzled.

So far, so good (sooo good!)

Reading the sequel / follow-up to a book you've really enjoyed can be a bit of a trepidatious experience. So much anticipation, so many expectations, and unfortunately, quite a few prior disappointments with the 2nd (or 3rd) in a series. Not the case here though! 🙌🏻🤞🏻

Enjoying it so far, especially after the first couple of chapters. Interesting world building, given the mixture of Magic (capital "M") + SciFi.
