@Carol I most certainly am enjoying it. It took me a day or two to figure out what to read next after spending 2+months straight of reading Peter Hamilton.

Fergus / Suzanne Palmer were the answer. I really enjoy her writing.

I agree. Fergus is a solid mix of adventure and weariness. Her two little robot/AI novellas/novelettes are fun as well.

I've read (and enjoyed) her "bots" stories as well. It's funny, but I hadn't realised until recently that Finder books and the "bots" had been written by the same person.

I read the first bot and went to find more Palmer. Actually, short stories/novellas have been one of my go-to ways to discover writers new to me.
