So far it’s a really fun read and I’m enjoying seeing how the main characters all interact.

The Four Basic Goals of IFS 1.​Liberate parts from the roles they’ve been forced into, so they can be who they’re designed to be. 2.​Restore trust in the Self and Self-leadership. 3.​Reharmonize the inner system. 4.​Become more Self-led in your interactions with the world.

Your protectors only see the protectors of others. The clarity of Self gives you a kind of X-ray vision, so you see behind the other person’s protectors to their vulnerability, and in turn your heart opens to them.

My therapist specializes in IFS and I am interested in reading more about it. So far, so good.

Excited to learn more and help myself keep growing.

I picked it up on a whim and I am waiting to get sucked in. Interesting premise, with his soul bond being part of a hawk (reads like the blood oath in TOG), but I am not super invested at this point.

I am highly amused by this book. I am looking forward to seeing how the Miranda Priestly of violinists falls in love with a donut- shop running alien

Honestly. I DNF’d. It started out pretty good and now I am 50 pages in, still can’t keep track of the characters and the overall sense of the story. I’ll try it again after I make it through more of my TBR

Dragons have already arrived. I am a happy lady. So far have several characters being set up, interested in how they connect more as the story goes on.

For some reason I still feel like I don’t really know how we got here but like… I am enjoying the book, their banter is 15/10 “I hate you”
Her prose and vocabulary are awesome, the word nerd in me is very excited.

“The only job I’d do for you is hold the sword so you can fall on it”

So far- great world building. I like how she immerses us and gives us details in a way that feels natural and easy to follow. I also really like a great sassy & stabby FMC. Here for her FAFO attitude. Also love a good trials trope- the first one was surprising, and I can’t wait to see what the second one is.
