I'm sorry I haven't been around GR for much of the last year or 2. Life has been...a ride. Let's just say lots of bad & leave it at that. I probably won't be on much in the near future either as my Mom has been placed on hospice. Just wanted to give everyone an FYI, I didn't just abandon my reading buddies.

I've been absent a lot again. It's just been a rough year around here. We found out the week before Easter that our Mastiff (Baby) has bone cancer. So as you can imagine I've been a bit absorbed with the impact of that.

Where are the ghosts?

Back in NY. My mom is back in the hospital due to...complications caused by chemo treatments. However, it looks as if she'll be released tomorrow (at least she's hoping) A week in the hospital is a bit long for anyone. THx for all the thoughts & best wishes we've received.

I finished "The Blonde Heiress: A Carter A. Johnson Novel" by R.E. Schobernd. Fantastic! I wish it was listed here on Goodreads, but it's only available on Smashwords. Highly recommend it!

Warning, you may see a lot of status updates. I've been playing catch up for the last few weeks (writing reviews for books read, adding books bought/received, marking books as read not TBR). I think I'm finally making headway. I know I'm actually ahead of what I originally thought I'd be, but I won't rest easy until I'm all caught up. Does that ever really happen though?

I'm sorry I've been absent on GR/in groups lately. Long story short, my mom was diagnosed with cancer on 7-13. But 3 mths later she's made it through surgery, gotten a clean scan, and is recovering quite well. I'm hoping to be more active again, but I've scaled back on groups, etc. My focus right now has to be on my blog & the authors who've entrusted me w/ their books. I can't thank them enough for understanding.
