The book keeps calling Frederick Chambers, Marquess of Highclere, Lord Chambers instead of Lord Highclere and it is driving me batty! The wrong address of a title didn’t appear to be in the other books so not sure why it’s incorrect in this one.

I just don’t like Kay. I don’t know what Devin sees in her. She is just angry and acts without thinking. I’m not sure what Wilson saw in her either. If he wanted more children and access to a Duke I’m sure there are others he could have chosen.

The beginning of the Birds and the Bees chapter is hilarious!

The book was moving along well and then *snap* everything changed. Now, Caelen’s dead wife was not liked by all and bought too many fancy things, and suddenly Caelen wants to marry Clara even though he swore he wouldn’t marry again and he knows NOTHING about her, not even her last name. And she says No, for no good reason. Disappointing.

This book is still so sad. Magnus is just stoically refusing to consider anything since he already made his decision. But if he’s to be an Earl with a hereditary title, then why isn’t he thinking about an heir? Does he not realize he needs a legitimate one? It doesn’t make sense.

I’m finding it hard to get into this story because something happened 5 years ago when Alexandra and Brightwell get married but I’m not sure what and we are only getting small pieces of info. Seems like she cheated on him which doesn’t make me like her. And we’ve only gotten her POV, not his.

This book is so delightful! I’m enjoying it so much! All the characters are so deep and interesting and quirky.

I’m just not liking this book. Cecelia is just so naive? I’m not sure what she is even doing at the Clifford School. And the reason for her investigation left so why is she still here? Gideon is no better. If he had just said what happened to his wife, this wouldn’t be a problem!

This is a little icky. He is betrothed and she is his housemaid and they want each other. It just doesn’t feel right.

Wait, Sophia is not a virgin? WTH? Why is this the name of the book? I get they are reading swooning virgins books, but come on!

Are you serious? If this is true then Lord Foxstead is an ass. How dare he do this to Eliza! He brought the whole mess to her doorstep!!

I was tracking with the storylines, even though there are many. However, this 3 month agreement between Thorn and Tess is just silly. No one has mentioned an heir yet? And the business benefits that Thorn mentioned only work if they still appear together at events. SMH

A brand new character is being introduced now? At the end of the book? This doesn’t make sense. If this character was critical they should have been introduced earlier.

I’m so confused on how old Violet is. It says she is 10 years old but then Lily says they have been in England for a decade meaning Violet would have been a baby. But then it just said she was in France until she was five. Which would make her 15? Or they have only been in England for 5 years?

The timing is not making sense here. Supposedly Lily arrived back in England from Paris ten years ago with her sister. But then it said that her sister Violet is ten years old. Was Lily taking care of Violet as a baby??

Re: what I said about the narrator - even one of the main side characters’ name is mispronounced! I thought her name was Cecil but it is Cecile!

Sorry, but the narrator for this book isn’t great. She mispronounces names and words and when the 3 gentlemen in the book are talking together, suddenly they all sound the same. She doesn’t keep the unique voice for each of them so it gets really difficult to tell who is talking.

I really feel like I am missing half the story since part of this book is Giles and Yasmin, from the previous book, that I didn’t read. For example, right now Silvester the Duke is in the country with Yasmin even though he is paired with Stella in this book but we don’t know what he is doing.

Why is Millie so passive? And so accepting of Fritz’s affairs? As we travel through the (8!) years of Fitz and Millie’s marriage (!) I keep thinking he is going to notice her as more than a platonic friend but he doesn’t. He takes lovers at every chance and she does and says nothing.

Oh no. This story was going so well and I was invested and now there is a stupid conflict because Fiona is too stubborn to accept help from Edward. Very frustrating - now I don’t like her.

Geez. I was wondering why there was still 2 hours left in the audiobook when Matthew finally realized he could marry Jo. Sorry but there’s no way Charles would have said what to the Duke, drunk or not. So ridiculous to take this turn.

I guess Kit is bi instead of gay like Percy. I’m a little surprised because I thought he was gay as well based on Percy watching him.

Oh, ha ha! The first scene with Mars’ mother is so good!!!

I was really liking this book but then Izzy and Leo went from kissing to all the way when I really didn’t feel like they knew each other yet. I get the attraction but they are always fighting and I’m not feeling their connection.

I feel like we are still in the prologue since the main clash mentioned on the back page hasn’t even happened yet. This story is very slow going.

I’m sorry but the whole first chapter could put you to sleep. I get explaining about the families we are going to meet in this series but we don’t need a thorough room to room and acre to acre description of the Ravenswood estate!

Um, this book might be too kooky for me. I thought it was about witches when it seems to be able women pirates who fly their houses like ships and apparently like to assassinate other women pirates. I might DNF.

And, this book just lost me. It was going along with Jake and Cleo as adversaries, both trying to get Quimby’s Costume Shop and suddenly a switch goes off in Jake’s head and he decides screw everything, he’s going to give up his businesses and just try to win over Cleo. There is nothing leading up to this, just boom.

Okay, after the 50% mark and Lavinia’s cover is revealed, this story really gets going! I keep wanting to see what happens next!

Having a little bit of an issue getting into this story, especially Cleo, the heroine. I can understand saying you don’t want to marry but don’t understand saying you want to be a “wallflower”. Does that mean no dancing or talking at balls? Also, she can hear her dead mother’s voice inside her head, but not things she said in the past, but actually commenting on current things happening. Is Cleo psychic?
