Why is Millie so passive? And so accepting of Fritz’s affairs? As we travel through the (8!) years of Fitz and Millie’s marriage (!) I keep thinking he is going to notice her as more than a platonic friend but he doesn’t. He takes lovers at every chance and she does and says nothing.
