I didn’t enjoy this Barbara Kingsolver book as much as others, but to use a well worn phrase, a mediocre Barbara Kingsolver book is better than all other books.

Well written summary of Peter Gabriel and his art up to 1988. As a fan of early Genesis, I especially enjoyed those chapters, but all of his phases are engaging.

Second time reading it with a thirty year gap. Much more appreciative of it given where he’s gone with his music since So.

We’ll written analysis of the 90’s and what made the decade unique.

Incredibly well researched and written book on a band that could have been much bigger than they were.

Best read in sections, as Lester's writing is, at times, staccato & an assault on the senses. However, his championing of music is dead on, especially when singing the praises of The Stooges & The Count Five.

Good so far, but language is unique to Australia requiring a few sentences be read again.

Beautifully written, if not a bit superfluous at times. Not sure I get the whole story, but I'll enjoy letting it percolate awhile.
