Trying this one again.

Really dry with courtroom progression, awkward dialogue, lots of thought verbs. Probably won't finish.

Finally, a book I can sink my teeth into. Really enjoying this one.

Only 45% in and I've already gotten teary twice.

Amusing so far, but bad editing. Tense changes all over the place.

Almost 70% in and they're just now agreeing to be friends with benefits? Slow ... Also, nothing has come out about Lily's past yet.

So poorly edited I checked for the editor's name. Self-pub, and the editing company appears to be the author. Tons of errors on the editing company's website even in the samples!

More random points of view. The threesome seemed pointless - gratuitous sex.

Random points of view have nothing to do with the plot.

Loving these characters. Feel connected to them. Happy and scared for them because I know it's all going to crash and burn.

This is supposed to be a standalone book but I'm not really understanding the relationships.

Ridley keeps talking about her sister but Jackson doesn't find it odd. She let him introduce her as Ridley to everyone at the party when she should be pretending she's Raina.

The characters talk to themselves a lot. It would have been better to not have the short scene with Raina's point of view.

The MCs didn't meet until 32% into the short book. Well written but dialogue is awkward.

Won a copy from the author, started reading, realized it's a cliffhanger, putting aside until I have the 2nd book. I just can't do cliffhangers.

Getting a little bored of the predictable miscommunication and doubting of feelings.

Off to a hot start, but some grammatical errors, and the author could accomplish more with a lot less words.

Marriage issues explained but time passing with no indication. Not seeing the growth of the relationship.

So the ex is British, which makes a marriage at 18 even more questionable.

I'm a little confused on the timeline. Ross is 34 with a 15 year old daughter and was divorced 10 years ago. Were they married at 18? He's a conservative Republican, so they wouldn't have had the kid before getting married. But his wife speaks like she's British ... not exactly a high school sweetheart from Paris, Texas.

Timeline doesn't make sense. It was a snow storm in February, and one month later it's May?
