ya know i’m actually kinda struggling with this one. it hasn’t felt as emotionally compelling as the other books so far, and the action has been at the front and center in a way that kinda feels distracting to me.

there’s nothing quite like sitting in my work parking lot with my windows rolled down and reading like 45 pages before work LMAO

ok ykw i’ve warmed up to the setting of this one. i mean the concept of the conductor being the only one who keeps their memory of going to the final platform while everyone else’s memory blanks out until they’re getting back on the train (which is literally an infinite loop) like starting New Game + is INSANE.

anyways this one feels like the litmus test of whether you’ll enjoy the rest of the series as much and i’m starting to enjoy it a lotttt more than the first two. the only thing holding it back is the fact that the train system setting is really hard to wrap my head around. but it feels like i don’t NEED to understand it so it’s not too much of a detractor.
