I didn't realize Circe was involved in the Minotaur tale. The Minotaur and Theseus are buddies in the video game Hades, I didn't know the entire story til reading it here.

I almost DNF’d this one but then the mute girl went and throttled someone who had it coming and it was great.

It's the kind of literary fiction where each chapter is fairly mundane until the POV character drops some horrific lore; like their best friend committed suicide or they watched their baby cousin fall face first into a thorny bush and blind themselves.

I couldn't tell how old Xishi is in the first chapter, she comes off as much younger than a 20-year-old (I honestly thought she was like 11-12).

Intro is 90 pages, actual translation is about 400, and notes are another 50 pages.
