Bizarrely written. It was hard to get into, written like the middle of a story. 300 pages later and still feels that way. I won't say it's not interesting as I picked it back up to try again. Enjoyable yes. But definitely a strange way to start a book series and the slow burn is lacking severely.

Just know I'll be absolutely pissed later because the next book isnt out. Literally best series I've found in a long time

Wayyy slower than book 1. Honestly almost boring and author tries to hard to be funny/snarky now. We get it.
