I am (presumably) the first author to attain bestseller status in the "Children's US Western Historical Fiction" subcategory with a book featuring a centaur protagonist. Maybe not something I specifically planned to do, but...HECK YES.

Just one chapter before bed, I told myself. Ha. Should've known.

Reality warping??? MAN, this book is awesome.

Zad crashed out of the brush in horse form, bucking and snorting. He charged the hounds with a maniacal whinny, and all four were on his heels in an instant.

I’m dying at the image of Zad whinnying maniacally. XD I think he’s my favorite character in this book.

This sounds fun. I'm picking the collected Volume 1 of my Beaumont and Beasley series. 509 pages. Knock yourselves out.

Such an awesome book so far. I love the mysteries being teased here. I think I have a rough idea of what's going on, but I'm not sure...there's an underlying intrigue that keeps you glued to the page. Plus, Nagan is hilarious. XD

From "The Replacements," a Beaumont and Beasley short story:

Llew folded his arms and scowled at us. "I'm not too impressed with your 'magical investigation service' so far. I've already been disappointed once, when that old goat Crackenthorpe took my money and vanished."
I wanted to ask how a faun was in a position to use "goat" as an insult, but decided that wouldn't be a good idea.

From a short story I'm working on:

"What has five arms on Tuesday, one nose on Friday, three children at Christmas, and no hair before noon?"
I blinked. "Uh..."
"Wrong answer!" The sphinx clapped her hands with glee. "I eat you now."

“It’s not bad,” he said.
“Yeah, could be worse. You could be dead.” Auric rolled his eyes. “Seriously, Jericho, lay off the manly posturing and sit down.”

Loving the snark between these two. 😂

I almost never use the word "ship" in this context, but I'm definitely shipping Jericho and Rill.
