I don't know if it's the fact that I just re-read Uneven this weekend, but Chaos Magic feels so contrived, and I am having trouble getting into the story, especially with all those expectations Hector has for Sam...

Never mind... once again the heroine immediately and irrevocably falls in love with the immoral hero and tries to save him... And I had such high hopes...

Hmmm... This is unexpectedly different from a usual romance. I just hope the author doesn't ruin it by destroying Emma's backbone and toning down Killoran's wickedness and malevolence

Reading "A Turn of the Screw" and it's slow going.

As usual, with Mr. Hiaasen, I don't know whether to laugh out loud or be horrified by the characters he creates and the situations he places them in.

Four Meetings (short story) - 5 stars. WOW. Still thinking about it today. Wanted to shake Miss Caroline Spencer and do something really terrible to the narrator. Don't ever remember being this affected by a short story before...

A pleasantly unexpected F/F scene about 15 pages into the story...

Meh... There is so much potential for a dark and visceral story here, but she just had to go sweet and unrealistic on it.

*sigh*

I have to keep in mind that this is not necessarily an M/M novel, but rather erotica (at least based on other EA stuff that I've read)

This has been on my 'currently reading' shelf for a while now, but I haven't read a word of it yet! LOL - what is it with me and challenges? As soon as I receive a book recommendation, I immediately lose all interest in reading that book (and it's not the book's fault!).
