Did you ever get to The Master and Margarita this winter?

Yes, I am reading Fathers and (their Children) in Russian - we had a copy lying around for years, but I only now picked it up... It's great so far, although I had forgotten how wordy Turgenev can be :)

I never got to the Master and Margarita - couldn't muster up the enthusiasm for it...

I sympathize. I've been avoiding (or hating on) stuff that is overwhelmingly social/political commentary. Just too depressing and I'm not in the mood.
