I feel like this is written so terribly. Is it just me!? Like I literally read a sentence and then have to go back a few paragraphs to try and figure out what they are even talking about.

I feel like this book was one written based on a movie, like the author is like "the reader already knows what happens, so I'm not going to waste my time introducing new characters or describing what's happening in a meaningful way". It jumps from one thing to the next and very conversation heavy. Often, they'll be full conversations between 3 people and then someone else chimes in and it's like "oh, you're here?"

WTF is going on and who are all these people?

I don't understand why everyone shits on Chaol so much. Also, she has absolutely no chemistry with Rowan. I'm more sure if I'll be able to bring myself to finish the series.

Kind of struggling to get through this. It's definitely not bad but it's not super captivating whether. I've heard such good things about it though, debating whether to keep going or not.

Finally, an adult female main character in a fantasy novel!
