I’m still not on her side though, I’m feeling more and more sorry for Theon, and Luka is oblivious to the fact that Theon doesn’t want contact because he knows Tessa prefers Luka over him, he can LITERALLY feel in through the bond. Mentally I know he is drained.

I am in LOVE! Chapter 40 (Lor) favorite chapter! There seems to be a constant need to repeat and go back to Lor having to explain countless times her story, it got boring reading some variation of her truth or half truth once she felt the need to tell people from book 1 and 2 EVERYTHING.

Then the descriptions to relive the heart castle with nadir and rion could’ve been shorter. But I’m binge reading atp 😆

Chapter 14 was really good! I cried at the second test. So emotional and important in that moment.

This book has me so on edge of my seat. I’m at work listening and smiling and a lot of wtf moments worn on my face. (My subtitles are LOUD AF).

I am living for the Kessle island woman and THAT cave. I like break from earth and blackwater and getting the perspective of the regales. I am glad Willow is finding her big girl panties and Caz is letting people in no matter how much it physically hurts.

Omgsh!! CAZZZZZ! Chapter 24 had me screaming! A man like a Caz. Yes. Omgsh his trauma as well had me in tears and gasping.

I LOVE this story so far. My only tripe is Willow is SOwhiny when it comes to “ her helplessness” it might just be because I’m not a big fan of the narrator for willow, but only during the high stakes moments. But when she’s “standing” her ground with Garret I’m in her corner. And the SLIGHT obsession with her brother is getting old. Is he dead or not so she and me can move on.

I LOVE this series! Finally finally! It’s all coming together!

I am loving the progression, but I’m starting to get irritated by Lor and her indecision about Nadir than getting upset and pissy about who he talks to. Then she has the unbearable tendency to have zero safety awareness about her surroundings but wants to justify it by saying “she wasn’t raised any other way”

OMGSH. My first BOTM read and I absolutely love this story. Arvelle is the epitome of fantasy reading eldest daughter/sister. I couldn’t put this down once we got past the trials. And RORRICKKK!! BRANNNN! I’m speechless. I wanna know more about the mentions of “sire”. I’m anticipating book 2 so much now. I love the world building of this story and I was able to prettty much see clearly what the author saw.
