🙄ummm… I hate to be disrespectful to any author, but, Lord, the corn. I’ve cringed so many times already. The plot- I can’t. The rest…is the only reason I’m not DNFing this. I’ll stay for the rest.

Lord, the rage this book invokes! I can’t even imagine. And Lady Duxbury’s story has been the most heartbreaking of all so far.

I’m struggling a little. I feel bad, because I really love the storyline, I love the characters, and the slow burn was so good, but there’s so much past trauma that it’s kinda putting a damper on it for me. I’ve finally reached what I think is the pinnacle, and I just can’t get into the correct headspace. It’s making me want to step away from it for a bit….

I know why Keri Lake can write a fantastic fantasy romance! Because she’s a sorceress!!! Looooving this take on the magic and that slow burn, 🔥 always 🥵

Uugghh!! Isolde is so tedious! Can’t wait to be done with this. I feel like I can’t sink into this as a romance when she’s always picking fights. How in the hell did she inspire devotion that spanned centuries?

A woman who wants to be a queen and a conquerer, yet throws a tantrum and a hissy fit every 5 seconds over things she admittedly knows need to be done and lays the blame for it all on the one man who spent 200 years avenging her. I dare say she is undeserving. Completely insufferable.

I was liking this series, I still am, but I have to say I’m annoyed that Isolde turned into one of those hounds. I’m sure there’s probably a purpose but, I was hoping for something else. And I also have to add, her personality is a bit off putting. She’s childish and rude.

Are these wolf shifters or robots? How many times have I read the word “recalibrating” so far? The note taking…it all feels so cold, detached, and scientific. There’s hints of feeling underneath, but it’s annoying me.

I got like 2 pages into this, and nah. So disappointing. I thought I’d be learning something about SCIENCE. Instead within the first two pages I’m already being schooled on the various types of people who menstruate, and what to call them. Spare me. Let me also complain that this Goodreads challenge has the worst selection to choose from. As a woman, how sad. No badge for me I guess.

So, this started out with so much potential, but the whole family drama thing seems to play a much larger part than the romance story itself, and at 60% through, you’d think there would have been a more developed romance plot. But…they’ve only had a few dates and a few kisses, and the tension that existed initially seems to be nonexistent. The characters “say” otherwise, but it doesn’t translate.

I had to put an update…I love the snark and humor so far!! So far my favorite line is “he makes the phone hand gesture, the one old people use” lol!!

This is excruciating! I can’t even believe that twist. I’m so emotionally wrung out, i need a time out.

Lord have MERRRCY!! The emotions are bleeding over the pages! This trilogy takes top spot for the year so far, no matter how it ends. 🥵

Now I’m not sure!!!! Scath is acting childish, and I just wonder now if his recently developed feelings are really going to trump the extra history with Ty. Oh, this is maddening.

This has sucked me in so good! Ugh, love the feeling of being totally grabbed by a story!!

Well, one of those ideas I had was right! Interesting…I’m not sure how to feel right now.

What was that, Kingfisher…? I had to back it up 30 seconds a few times, just to make sure! Feral.

I like hearing more from Kingfisher! I mean, who wouldn’t, especially in audio! And the Dose, def want more of that! I’m also intrigued by the true name mystery that was just revealed!

Lord, I’m struggling with this one. There seems to be so much filler and sue me, but, it’s a little too wholesome. This book is not “wicked” in the slightest. I’m so far behind the amount I normally read because I’m stuck on this. Im a hair away from DNFing out of boredom.

Already I know I’m going to struggle with this. Maybe I’m just not in the mood for it. If we’re going down this road, wish we could read something old school, like Sherrilyn Kenyon.

I really like this story so far, but the FMC seems to, unprovoked, get up on her high horse a little too much for my taste. Like this scene right now, them getting ready to travel to Boise. She’s unnecessarily snippy and takes offense at the most innocent comments. Maybe I’m too early in my judgement; but if I was Anthony, I’d be out of there.

Ummm…YEEEESSS… now this is an interesting Christmas Romance! Love this unique approach! This is going to be a fun read!

Picking up pace, I’m enjoying this more. I could be wrong, but is Violet really Kate’s great AUNT?

Ugh, I can’t get into this for some reason. Maybe because I’m only reading it for a challenge and otherwise wouldn’t have selected this title.
