Progress is slow because I’m scared to rush through and let this end.

My copy finally arrived! I’ve been so excited to read this since the preview enraptured me

Why is this friendship group so weirdly incestual

Struggling with the parts of this book that are weirdly performative about gender. It feels really forced, it’s giving liberal.

Fuck, I’ve started annotating.

Not too long ago I finished a passage that had me feeling like I just dropped acid, then I noticed a little silver mark on the bottom of the page that looked like a pencil had scuffed it, but I was curious that I had never had a pencil anywhere near this tome. I turned the page and the pencil mark was mirrored.

I fear this book might be turning me schizophrenic.

It probably doesn’t bode well that I really dislike how Lore is being written, already.

My bf’s parents have a neighbour that lives in a hovel filled with dust and rotting animal carcasses (probably) and I’m imagining his house in lieu of the setting actually being established, just based on the introduction and I am already Very Upset.

An unconventional narrative style, worrying if Sager has revealed his hand too early, but have faith!

The way Lea writes about Mary’s rage, really resonates with me.

Yet another book demonising BPD 😬 but so far I hate the judgemental protag anyway so I’m continuing to read in the hope that she gets punished lol.

Re-reading an old favourite of mine from my early teenage years!
