And so to book 2 of the series. Book 1 felt long. To be fair,there was some necessary recap from the first series, explanation of what happened in intervening years, introductions to a new generation of characters and development of political / social context. Great world building, but I’m hoping the narrative is now pushed forward and the pace quickened. Keep me on board by picking up those loose threads quickly!

Great read so far. More questions than answers, but am enjoying spending time with Brother Shardlake.

Never read this as a child, so am finally catching up with the children. Enjoying listening whilst pottering about in the garden…

A book of thought provoking short stories I am dipping in and out of. I do enjoy the reading and musing experience, but am reading lighter fare in between times, so this may take a while to finish.
