Finally found something interesting to read from Mr.Auster and it happens to be his debut work!

در باب برتری نان-فیکشن به فیکشن [از لحاظ تاثیری که توی زندگی روزمره و اساساً مسیر زندگی ما میذاره]، همین اشاره بس که عمده آثار ادبی صادق هدایت رو در این سال ها خوندم و تاثیر ملموسی رو توی زندگیم ندیدم. "فوائد گیاهخواری" رو خوندم و کلا پایه و اساس و فلسفه زندگیم تغییر کرد. نگاهم به حیوانات و غذاها فرق کرد. بنابراین اگر فکر می کنید رمان نویس خوبی نیستید، همیشه می تونید سوادتون رو بالا ببرید و نان-فیکشن رو امتحان کنید

I'd love to post every single paragraph of this book as an update, but then it'd take me weeks to finish reading the book :)) so I'll concentrate on my review of the book(yet to decide writing it in Persian or English) to give a decent insight of it. just take it from me that the book is a superb read, it's brand new and DJT has written it to explain his plans for America. The guy likes to do it his way!

به این مسئله فکر کن، آن کتاب [بیگانه] بکی از پر خواننده ترین کتاب های دنیاست و اگر نویسنده ی تو فقط مرحمت می کرد و محض رضای خدا اسمی مثل حامد یا قدور یا اوحمو، فقط یک اسم به برادرم می داد، او مشهور شده بود! این گونه مامان می توانست مستمری مادر بیوه ی شهید را دریافت کند ... اما نه، او به برادرم اسمی نداد زیرا در غیر این صورت شاید برادرم به مشکلی برای وجدان قاتل تبدیل می شد: ما مردی را که اسمی دارد به سادگی نمی کُشیم

یک روز یک تولید کننده شراب از بدبختی هایش برایم تعریف کرد. چون این کار حرام و نامشروع است نمی تواند کارگر پیدا کند. حتی بانک های کشور هم همین نظر را دارند و ار پرداخت وام به او امتناع می کنند! قا قاه! همیشه از خودم می پرسم چرا چنین ارتباط پیچیده ای با شراب وجود دارد؟ چرا این نوشیدنی را شیطانی می دانند در حالی که گفته می شود به وفور در بهشت جاری است؟ چرا این پایین ممنوع است و آن بالا مجاز؟

I can't count the times that upon telling someone I am vegetarian, he or she responded by pointing out an inconsistency in my lifestyle or trying to find a flaw in an argument I never made. (I have often felt my vegetarianism matters more to such people than it does to me.)

If we were to one day encounter a form of life more powerful and intelligent than our own, and it regarded us as we regard fish, what would be our argument against being eaten?
This is something which had a huge influence on me when I became vegan a few months ago.
