I’m not very far into this and have already faced a few of my own misconceptions about the legend that the NHS feels to be, and what reality has been behind that big, shiny (blue) facade. Struck by this sentence on p32: “a typical 1931 article titled ‘Can We Afford to Leave the Nation’s Health to Private Enterprise?’” and thinking about what a typical 2031 article might look like (with my fingers crossed)
