I really liked this book. It’s the story of 2 sisters during the war and the part they played in helping either airplane pilots get across the border to safety or hiding Jewish children so they weren’t sent to concentration camps. It depicts the the struggles they had to endure during wartime such as food rationing and burning furniture to stay warm and how they had to deal with the Germans taking over their country.
