Hmmm.... I thought the heroine is supposed to grow or at least not continue to make the dumbest decisions that even a average teenager wouldn't make. I'm sorry but this series is good but this heroine acts like she's 16 instead of 21.

Oh my goodness. I don't know what I just got myself into. I do not care for books where men are being dominated. From what I've read of other reviews, this one should be good. I usually quit once I learn it's not my cuppa but I'm actually going to give this one a chance and hope that I like it.

I don't know why it feels like this book is longer than it really is, however, the story is really good. It's not very often I come across a full novel in the genres I like to read. Right now I'm having a hard time breathing myself while reading that a few of theses kids are topside breathing in variant.

This is getting tedious! Annoying at best.

And how unrealistic that in less than a day of the emp the bad guys are kidnapping, killing, and taping people. So far this is just too far fetched. I'm sorry, I just don't get how a heroine who's been able to think on her feet in the face of danger all of a sudden can't move, react, or speak, which were all the things she did prior to the situation she's in now. I mean she didn't put up a fight at all. Too stupid.

Right now im annoyed at the big"Tough" heroine. She just did something so stupid and out of her character that I just almost quit this book. I'm only continuing because so many people liked it that I feel obligated to find out why and hope I end up liking it too.

I'm pretty sure this is going to be a four or five star read. This book is on point. Really liking it.

Sad that Gene Wilder has passed away. I especially LOVED his role in the chocolate factory, although I was scared to death of them little Oompa Loompa's and couldn't sleep by myself for months after that frightening oompa loompa song.

RIP Gene.

Oh Wow! I had tears at 8% in. I'd literally kill my brother for doing something so low life. At this point I'm enjoying this book. I hope it only continues to get better and better. Love that cover, BTW.

I can't believe I'm actually reading the second book in this series. I love the world the Brion species warriors, the politics, the battles. It's all good, so far.

I knew I had to read this after seeing that dog on the cover.

I think I just found my next favorite author. This book is amazing. I say book because separately they are novellas but together like the set I purchased, it's a full novel.

Oh.. Goodness. I don't know if I can handle this wholesome read. It came in audio and the narrator sounds so straight laced, like he's squeezing his butt cheeks together real tight and walking on his tippy toes. Don't even ask me what that means. Don't help that when I wrote that, the narrator was repeating, "Clench and splayed." I know he was talking about the baby's hands but still. Bad timing. Haahaa....

If some thug slap and punch me several times in the face while trying to rape me, i'm not going beg my hero not to do some serious damage to the guy. If said hero comes to my rescue by beating the crap out of the perpetrator and possibly killing him, you will never hear, "No, please don't kill him!" Come out of my mouth. I don't understand this way of thinking. Read on.

This book is hilarious!!! There is only one other book that's made me laugh this hard. It starts to get really funny and good at about 15% I can't take it.

Let me clarify that so far this story is taking place during the early 90's. There, now my conscious is clear.

I'm really liking this so far. It's just strange that they don't have cell phones. I'm thinking this book was written in the early 90's but so far so good.

This book is freaking genius! I hate it and love it simultaneously.

this so called genius is a freaking idiot! I hate it when we're supposed to believe the MC is highly intelligent, but makes a decision that even a seven year old would know better. Freaking annoying and makes the story unbelievable.
